His eccentric style, bold personality, and courageous spirit can captivate a room. Corey is a father, mentor, and entrepreneur from Columbia, SC. As the owner of one of South Carolina’s premier eateries, LaBoo’s Finest Turkey Wangz, he has had the pleasure to cook for South Carolinians all over the state of SC as well as serve customers around the country. As a hometown favorite, he is often requested to service visiting celebrities, politicians, and Carolina’s very own Gamecock athletes. He has cooked for Patti Labelle, Ludacris, Master P, Kevin Gates, Cardi B, and Elizabeth Warren.

Corey is serial entrepreneur who has co-owned over 12 businesses in the last 8 years. His experience ranges from retail to customer service, food, and freight. He is often sought out for his business acumen and extensive understanding of how to get a business off-the-ground and earning revenue. In fact, he has been featured in The State newspaper and highlighted as one to watch in the top 20 under 40 by the Black Pages of Columbia, SC.

The Success Story
Prior to being a celebrated chef and respected entrepreneur, Corey served time in prison. But now he serves time motivating, inspiring, and empowering youth through his story, “Success Beyond Prison”. Corey LaBoo has been recognized with numerous mentorship awards through his collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands as well as the Big Brother Club Mentoring Service. LaBoo, as he is locally known, travels the country sharing his intriguing story of positivity, determination, and overcoming adversity. C.
